Deep Diver Course
Who should take this Course?
The deep diver course (Specialty)offers you the opportunity of a lifetime - going deep to see things others can only dream about, such as the beautiful wall at Bay of pigs(caribean sea)cuba.
Sometimes it’s a wreck that attracts you below 18 metres/60 feet, and on wall dives it may be a giant fan or sponge. Whatever it is, to scuba dive with confidence at depths down to 40 metres/130 feet, you should take the Deep Diver course(Speciality).
To get started you need to have the Adventure Diver certification (or a qualifying certification from another organisation), and be at least 15 years of age.
What will you learn?
During the deep diver course you will learn deep dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and hazards. You'll also put this knowledge to the test as you go on four open water dives that range from 60 - 130 Ft/18 - 40M.
Your training starts by reviewing reasons for deep diving and how important it is to know your personal limits. During four deep dives with your instructor, you’ll go over:
- Specialized deep diving equipment.
- Deep dive planning, buddy contact procedures and buoyancy control.
- Managing your gas supply, dealing with gas narcosis and safety considerations.
