Who should try this experience?
Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving,our discovery diving course is just the ticket for beginners.If you’ve never tried it before, it gives you a really good feel for diving.Many of our beginners have never experienced what it’s like to breathe underwater, so it eases you in gently. Scubalibre Varadero offer this program either in a pool, or off a beach. While not a scuba certification course,the Discovery Diving course is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world to a maximum depth of 12 meters/40feet.
To sign up for a Discovery Diving Course, you must be at least 12 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health.
What will you learn?
You learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a Scuba Professional to a maximum depth of 12 meters/40 feet. If you make an open water dive, you’ll practice a few more skills in shallow water to prepare for your adventure.
Get ready to:
- Go over the scuba equipment you use to dive and how easy it is to move around underwater with your gear.
- Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater.
- Learn key skills that you’ll use during every scuba dive.
- Have fun swimming around and exploring.
- Hear about becoming a certified diver through the Open Water Diver course.

Discovery Scuba (Bacunayagua)
From: 8:00am - 3:00pm
Located 1h away from Varadero, Bacunayagua is a coral reef, where you can find massive Corals formations of unusual shapes and colors ej: star and brain coral, common sea fans, feather gorgonians, many fish such as stoplight parrotfish, doctor fish, snappers and several crustaceans, such as spiny lobster, the perfect spot for divers of all levels.

Discovery Scuba (Bay of Pigs)
From: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Located 1h 50min from Varadero (Caribean Sea) Bay of Pigs has a long list of coral reefs and dive sites for divers to explore, including caves(cenotes), and small wrecks. One of the main attractions is the impressive wall. The drop-off is at 12mts(40feet) and drops to 500mts(1640feets) perfect conditions for a multilevel dive.
